Government Ram Bhajan Rai New Education Society Post Graduate College, Jashpur Nagar was established by “New Education Society, Jabalpur” in the year 1963 as a private college. The department of English came into existence with the establishment of the College. Department of English since its establishment is committed to providing thoughtful global citizens through the study of Literature and language.The Department works with the mission of giving its students a firm foundation of English language.
Currently the department has sanctioned seat of one Professor and two Assistant Professors.

Undergraduate studies in English
- UG Foundation Courses (English is Compulsory under foundation courses in undergraduate program (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc.& B.C.A.) of college. The total number of seats available in B.A. is 400; B.Com.12; B.Sc. is 300; BCA is 40in current academic session.
- BA English Literature (Three Year Course offered as Optional Course for BA students)
