Department at a Glance
Govt. R.B.R.N.E.S. P.G. College Jashpur Nagar, Jashpur, (C.G.)since the inception of the sports department has been playing an important role,which is making a valuable contribution to the all-around development of the students through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Playing Hockey, Football, Kho-Kho, etc. is very popular among the students here. The sports complex set up by the government and the Astroturf Hockey ground built on the playground of our college are contributing significantly to the promotion of sports here.
Students have the chance to participate in a variety of sports and games, including Hockey, Football,Kho-Kho,Kabaddi, Cricket, Athletics, Handball,Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, Taekwondo, etc.
Our department has a regular Sports Officer and has sufficient outdoor and indoor sports facilities within and outside the campus. The sports calendar issued by the Chhattisgarh Higher Education Department regarding various sports activities is being strictly followed. The student participates in the sports competition organized at the Sector/College/State/University/National level and before participating talent identification and camps are organized for the students.
Regular students who participate in sports are provided sports attire, shoes, sports equipment,etc. as per the university and state government norms by the college.
The sports department of the college organized various sports tournaments such as Football, Cricket, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Hockey,etc. Annual sports festival is organized by the college every year, which helps in identifying talents in various sports.
Vision
Dedicated for "MASS PARTICIPATION" of students in Sports to develop the all-round development of sports person to make players leadership quality, physically fit, mentally alert, emotionally balanced, socially well adjusted, and morally true.
Mision
- To encourage students to create interest in participation in various sporting events.
- To achieve outstanding endurance, speed, strength, and long-term physical fitness objectives.
- To plan unique coaching sessions that allow for flexibility and mentor participants as they build their skills.
- To aware athletes ofnew rules and regulations of several types of games.
- To provide facilities and types of equipment to players who have participated in different competitions.
- To create and maintain standards Sports Infrastructure: multipurpose sports complex, and Gymnasium.
- To motivate through the provision of rewards and incentives, financial aid for educational fee concession, and the publication of news and images in newspapers.
- To help tribal students develop their physical skills and capabilities, special efforts are being made to bring games and sports to the tribal areas that are under the control of the College.

Sports Officer message
At Govt. R.B.R.N.E.S.P.G. College Jashpur Nagar C.G. we offer a variety of Sports for Students. Our ultimate objective is to encourage sports participation. Sports promote teamwork, commitment, discipline, leadership, toughness, hard work, sportsmanship, sacrifice, and most importantly, character development. Sports helps the students to face the difficulties in life.
I kindly request to every one of our students, staff, parents, and faculty to set aside at least 40 minutes each day for themselves and to use this time to stay active and healthy by using the playground, gym, or park.
